Rodney Smith-Treasurer/ Trustee Board Member

Brother Rodney Smith has been a member of Zion Temple since it was founded in 1954. He has been a professional accountant since 1975. Brother Smith enjoys using his talents to serve his church.

Sandra Walton-Crawford-Financial Secretary/ Trustee Board Member

Sister Sandra Walton-Crawford has been a member of Zion Temple since 1966. She is committed to the growth of Zion Temple.

Sister Yvette Thomas-Coordinator of Youth Ministries

Sister Thomas has been a member of Zion Temple since 2003. She is an elementary school teacher by profession. Sister Thomas finds joy in working with her church and the youth God has placed in her care.

Sister Annie Burgett-Usher Board President

Sister Burgett has been a member of Zion Temple since 1982. During this time, she has served in many capacities: choir member for 21 years, member of the Pastor’s Aide Society, Young People Willing Workers (YPWW) and Prayer & Bible Band secretary.

Sister Burgett is a recent graduate from DeVry University (with honors) in Health Information Technology.

Elder Ervy Thomas, Jr- Evangelist Department President

Elder Thomas Thomas has been a member of Zion Temple since 2003. He is a member of the Trustee Board. He is a traveling Revivalist and is saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost.

Elder Alphonso Richardson-Assistant Sunday School Superintendent

Elder Richardson is an Associate Minister at Zion Temple. He enjoys teaching the Saints of God in Sunday School and YPWW.

Dorothy Booker-Deaconess Board President

Sister Booker has been a member of Zion Temple since its inception. She served as a choir member, President of the Usher Board and Outreach and Health Fair Coordinator. In addition to being the President of the Deaconess Board, Sister Booker serves as the personal secretary for Pastor Booker.

Sister Booker is grateful for her growth in the Lord at Zion Temple.

Sister Jonnie Carde-Trustee Board Member

Sister Carde has been a member of Zion Temple since its inception. She was a choir member for 40 years. In addition to being a Trustee, she also serves as the Adult Sunday School Teacher.

Her weekly responsibilities include producing the weekly church bulletins and Church Librarian.

Sister Carde holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling.

Deacon Larry Madgett- Deacon Board Chairman

Deacon Madgett has been a member of Zion Temple since 1989. Deacon Madgett serves Zion Temple in the following capacities: President of the Men’s Association and Zion Temple’s local YPWW and Pastor’s Aide Society. He also serves on the Trustee Board.

Deacon Eric Sam-Building Engineer

Deacon Sam enjoys serving Zion Temple in any way he sees fit. He is the Building Engineer and is head of Security.

Irene Howard-Pastor’s Aide Society Co-Chairman

Sister Howard has been a member of Zion Temple since 2000. She is a choir member and Usher. Sister Howard loves her church family and is dedicated to the service of the Lord.

Lillie Love-Public Relations Chairperson

Sister Love has been a member of Zion Temple since 1976. During this time, served as Assistant Sunday School Teacher and YPWW Teacher. She is currently a choir member, Vice President of the Missions Department, Church Secretary and Usher.

Sister Love was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Pastor Robert E. Booker.

Regina Easton- Church Announcer

Sister Easton has been a member of Zion Temple since 1960. Her ministry consists of singing and serving others through the Missions Department.

Mother Evelyn Smith-Mother’s Board President

Mother Smith has been a member of Zion Temple since 1973. She initially served under the leadership of Pastor/Founder Elder Edward Booker, Sr. In addition to being the President of the Mother’s Board; she also serves as Choir President & Missions Department President.

Mother Smith is a diligent worker. She serves as the Missions President for First Jurisdiction Illinois Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Ocie Booker.

Tamela Odom-Church Administrator

Sister Odom has been of member of Zion Temple since 2004. She is the Assistant Coordinator of Youth Ministries under the leadership of Sister Yvette Thomas. She also serves as Assistant Church Announcer under Sister Regina Easton. Sister Odom is an Usher, Mission Department member and Chairman of the Anniversary Committee.

Sister Odom is the Youth Chairlady for the DA Reed District and District Announcer. She is the Collegiate Mentoring Coordinator for First Jurisdiction IL Youth Department under the leadership of Youth President Tyrone Gaston.
